Designing the header is one of the most important steps of the website building job, because the header is the topmost part of your site, which is aimed to attract visitor's attention. It is your virtual business card.
When you open a website in our system, you can choose from a number of pre-designed templates including built-in headers stored in our database. If you would like to take a look at additional templates after you have chosen a template for your website, you can do it at any moment (this action won't affect the existing template): "Site design" >> "Choose new template". Here you can choose a basic template free of charge or a professional template provided for a charge. Browse through templates and change them with absolutely no restrictions.
Please be aware that changing the template altogether will replace every aspect of the site's design. The header, footer, background images and colors would be replaced without the ability to restore them, so please exercise caution when changing the template.
How do I edit the header?
In order to edit text in the header and add extra elements such as images, go to "Site design".
Replace Header:
You can replace the current header with other headers from other templates provided by our system. Browse through them selecting relevant categories and scrolling down with your mouse wheel. Selecting a header makes it possible to see on line whether the header suits your website design. Upon selecting the preferred header, please click on “Save Changes”.
Now your website has got a new header.
This option is recommended to new users because it provides them with the simplest possible way of designing the site's header.
Edit Header:
You can design your website's top header with the help of a text editor window. It is possible to add details to the pre-designed header you have chosen (site name, company name etc.), as well as to take advantage of toolbars in the editor window and create your personal header design (images, text, colors etc.).
You can upload your own pictures and place them within the header. However, this will cause deletion of the previous design of the header.
It is important to know that you can clear the editor window by pressing the New Page icon () and begin designing your header from scratch.
How do I edit the footer? In order to edit the footer and add elements such as images, please do the following:
Go to “Site design” >> Design Options >> Footer
Now you can edit your website's footer in the text editor window by means of relevant toolbars.
