How do I create Google Site Map ?

Sitemap is a very important tool for Search Engine Optimisation. The Site Map enables Google Robot to follow the updates made in your website without scanning the rest of the site. This tool is highly important for websites which update frequently. 

In order to create Google Site Map, go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps 

Log in using your Gmail account details or create a new account. Enter your domain name in following box, and press "Add Site"

In the next screen press "Sitemaps" and press "Add a Sitemap". Choose "Add General Web Sitemap" .

Now open another browser and go to "Site Profile" >> "Site Promotion" > Generate Google Site Map ( You must own a unique domain to create sitemap) . Copy the link and paste it to "My sitemap URL is" . Click on "Add General Web Site Map".

Now go to "Links" >> "Verify". In Very a Site window choose "Add a meta tag"

Now copy the <meta name....    > (line in bold black) and paste it into "Site Profile" >> "Site Promotion" >> " Add more META tags as needed", like this, and press "Apply"
