A brand new and updated statistics tool has recently been added to the system. It is aimed to provide professional website promoters with extensive and useful data and allows advanced data clipping.
Henceforth, see explanations on various tools.
The statistics tool displays records one month backwards, i.e. the displayed data will cover the latest 30 days. This standard is used to indicate current tendencies, not the number of entries, which is a crucial factor for those dealing with website promotion.
It is important to keep in mind that each day the present day data is added, whereas the month old data is discarded. Due to this, the number of entries will increase and decrease in a way that will allow us to keep track of recent tendencies, instead of watching the constant upgrowth of the number of entries.
General
This window will contain a graph displaying the total number of entries to your website in an allotted period of time. You may define start and end dates (either in the dropdown menu, or by clicking the calendar and selecting date). Upon setting the dates, press on “Display Data” and see the updated site entry information.
Pay attention that the displayed data excludes the present day for the sake of preciseness, however, if you still wish the present day data to be included in statistics, please set the next day as the end date.
Viewed Content Pages
This part will display the total of entries to various site pages and let us know what the visitors find the most interesting and which part of your site you should dedicate more attention to. You may reset the data by clicking the “Reset Data” button and begin counting from the start, for example, in order to test efficiency of a campaign for a certain product.
Referrals
This page displays the entire list of referrals to your website. It should be noted that the number will be smaller than the total of entries, because a number of conditions must be carried out in order for an entry to be counted as referral. Usually, the first referral will be “Direct”, displaying the the number of direct entries to the site (not via search engines). Each referral will be accompanied by the number of entries from this specific address – this data enables us to find out which sources your site is mostly entered from and allocate necessary attention to them.
Reference by Domains
This is virtually the data clipped from the referrals page. Here you will be able to see the total number of entries from each domain. For example, if Google is rated number one, we may draw a conclusion that the majority of entries are done via Google and decide whether you are interested in investing in advertising your website on Google or another site, engine or index, whose target audience you deem more important.
Keywords
This page contains data found in referrals and displays the list of the most popular keywords your website has been traced by. In fact, this page will show you what the visitors had been searching for in search engines before arriving at your website. This data is of great significance for website promoters, for it allows them to know precisely which keywords are the most popular and to decide what is worth launching a campaign for, what is more profitable and what can be disposed of.
General Counting
This page hosts the general counter of entries, by means of which a site owner may learn how many entries to the website have occurred since the moment the site was opened. This number is equal to the number displayed by the counter optionally placed in one of the side menus and may be useful in case the site owner chooses not to display the counter to the public. Besides, this window allows the administrator to update the number of entries manually, by clicking “Update” and entering the desired number.
